Dubai Worx
A Next.js dashboard for Dubai Worx that turns dense GIS data into map-led daily operations for municipal teams.
Overview
A Next.js dashboard for Dubai Worx that turns dense GIS data into map-led daily operations for municipal teams.
A deep exploration of cutting-edge technologies and user-centered design principles, crafted to push the boundaries of what's possible on the modern web.
Defining the Problem
GIS operators sit inside this dashboard for a full shift. It had to carry heavy spatial data and still be calm enough to look at eight hours later.
Crafting the Answer
I built a Next.js dashboard where the map is the primary surface and everything else defers to it. Tools are grouped by the task an operator is doing, not by the system they came from.
Teams read spatial data faster and stopped jumping between separate tools to finish a single job.

Process
Research & Discovery
Deep-dive research into user needs, technical constraints, and competitive landscape. Every assumption pressure-tested before a line of code is written.
Architecture Design
System design sessions mapping data flows, component hierarchies, and performance budgets. Interactive prototypes validate core interactions.
Iterative Build
Agile development cycles with continuous integration, automated testing, and weekly stakeholder reviews at every stage.
Performance Tuning
Lighthouse scores, Core Web Vitals, bundle analysis. Every kilobyte and millisecond accounted for before shipping.
Launch & Monitor
Staged rollout with real-time monitoring, regression tracking, and user feedback loops informing immediate post-launch improvements.
Tech Stack
Every project stands on its stack. These are the tools I pick between for performance, developer experience, and something that still makes sense a year later.
Next.js
React meta-framework with SSR, ISR, App Router, Server Actions, and edge middleware.
